Torn Pages

There is a quiet room where the walls are filled with shelves bulging with various books, files, and papers. In the middle of the room sits a desk also covered in more books and papers, and lit with a large candle. This is the desk where God sits to assemble the story of your life. He creates each book with individual love and care. Hand stitching each binding and carefully scripting the saga we live out, with the ink of free will. Your book is one that is laying open on the desk, among others. Each as special and distinct as the next. Gods plan for life leads us all in ways we could never know, however the choices we make every day affect more than just our own books. Ripples of our actions travel on and on throughout the lives of those we love and all too often the lives of those we may not even know.

Hidden in the shadows of this room is Satan. He lurks among us, ever present and waiting for his chance to cause havoc. The unnatural death of the unborn is one of his favorites. This is when he takes his pleasure at tearing the pages from our books, one at a time, and tossing them to the floor along with the unfinished bindings of the lives that are lost to the selfish convenience of society. Pages begin to cover the floor, scattered in piles of helpless abandon. A book who’s pages have been torn away, becomes difficult to read and very confusing. Often it may not be clear why some souls become lost and hopeless. But there will always be hope. God does not give up on us like we give up on each other. The pain of abortion is no greater felt, than it is felt by Him, but He continues to slowly repair the damage we cause each other by writing on.

We need to support each other by not allowing our pages to be torn away, and helping those without the guidance and confidence to make the right and tough choices. Pray for the souls of the unborn and the lives of those who’ve lost them to pages on the floor.
