After the Oklahoma bombing, Time came out with a book full of photos relating to it. This was one of the more famous ones to come out of a firefighter holding a severly injured baby Bailey. Normally I don't use colour when I pencil, but this turned out to be a bit of an experiment for me as well as a way to cope with the newest sensless tragedy to plague the free world. Shortly after I did this, the child's mother made a statement that she wanted to stop this photo from circulating as it only served to remind her of the pain of losing her baby, and so I wrapped it up and left it there for 10 years. This is the first time it has been out since.
